BlockBeats News, August 26th: CZ stated at the Wyoming Blockchain Workshop on August 20th that Trump mentioned Hyperliquid and indicated that Mike Selig, the Chairman of the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), would seek a way for the platform to enter the U.S. market. CZ believes that if this development can be realized, it will be a significant boost for the entire crypto industry.
CZ expressed that due to his ownership of Binance shares, he is easily seen as a supporter of centralized exchanges from the outside. However, the fundamental reason he entered the crypto industry is his belief in decentralization. He pointed out that some users choose Hyperliquid because the platform allows wallet usage without the need for traditional accounts or KYC processes. If Hyperliquid can operate in the U.S. in a compliant manner, it will open up opportunities for perpetual contracts and more decentralized services to enter the U.S.
He believes that this is not only about Hyperliquid itself. "Hyperliquid is just the tip of the iceberg, once this tip comes in, other projects will follow." The related progress will benefit more decentralized products and their portfolio companies, bring more liquidity to international decentralized exchanges, and provide U.S. users with more competitive prices when trading crypto assets.
CZ stated that the current crypto market is far from saturated, so inter-platform competition is not the main issue. Hyperliquid's entry into the U.S. will not only benefit itself but also expand the market size of the entire industry. "What benefits them will also benefit us."
