Dynamic Beating AI News Flash: According to The Information, DeepSeek is seeking a second round of financing at a valuation of around 500 billion RMB, planning to raise an additional 50 billion RMB. Data shows that from January to July 2026, DeepSeek's revenue reached 475 million RMB (about $70.7 million), roughly 10 times its full-year revenue in 2025. During the same period, the net loss narrowed to 715 million RMB, lower than the full-year 2025 net loss of 935 million RMB.
In terms of profitability, DeepSeek's overall gross profit margin reached 44.6%, with the API business gross margin as high as 82.9%, mainly benefiting from AI infrastructure optimization, allowing it to run models with fewer chips and maintain lower inference costs. With the broad adoption of the V4 series, especially the V4-Flash, the company's revenue growth has accelerated, and the latest annualized revenue is said to have reached $400 million to $500 million last month.
Furthermore, DeepSeek recently raised its API prices to strengthen monetization. The V4-Pro peak output price increased from $0.87 to $3.96, while the off-peak price is $1.98, still lower than Kimi K3 at $15 and Claude Opus 5 at $25. Meanwhile, the company's investment in AI infrastructure surged from 1.2 billion RMB in 2025 to 11 billion RMB in the first seven months of this year, mainly for server leasing and AI chip and computing equipment purchases.
Earlier in June this year, DeepSeek completed its first round of external financing of around 50 billion RMB and has now hired an investment bank to prepare for an IPO in Shanghai next year.
