Organization: iPhone 17 Top-Selling Phone in Q2, Capturing 6% Global Smartphone Shipment Share

BlockBeats News, August 26, according to the latest data from Counterpoint Research, the Apple iPhone 17 was the best-selling smartphone globally in the second quarter of 2026, accounting for a 6% share of the total global smartphone shipments. Meanwhile, the iPhone 17 Pro Max and iPhone 17 Pro also claimed the second and third positions on the list.


Apple and Samsung each occupied five seats in the global top 10 best-selling smartphones list, with the top ten models accounting for 26% of the total global smartphone sales, a 2% year-on-year increase. The base model iPhone 17 remained the best-selling smartphone this quarter, with significant upgrades narrowing the gap with the Pro models and providing strong sales support.


Apple's stock price fell 0.14% on Tuesday's close and further declined by 0.23% after hours, with a market capitalization currently standing at $4.52 trillion.


As for Samsung Electronics, two models from the Galaxy S series entered the top ten list, with the Galaxy S26 Ultra becoming Samsung's best-selling model this quarter, climbing 5 places compared to the previous generation. It also emerged as the best-selling Android model this quarter, marking the first time a high-end Android device has led Android sales in the second quarter.
