WSJ: Anthropic Aims to Present Investors with Over $30 Trillion Revenue Opportunity

Motion Beating AI News Flash: According to the WSJ, AI company Anthropic is expected to inform investors in its upcoming IPO filing that its Total Addressable Market (TAM) exceeds $30 trillion, higher than the $28.5 trillion previously disclosed by SpaceX. Anthropic's calculation is mainly based on the entire scope of work that AI models could potentially accomplish in the future.

The report states that Anthropic's second-quarter revenue has increased to $11.6 billion. For comparison, FactSet data shows that the 191 tech companies in the S&P 1500 index collectively generated approximately $24 trillion in revenue last year.

Sources also revealed that Anthropic may seek to raise up to $100 billion through the IPO, with a target valuation of around $2 trillion. The specific plans are still under discussion, and the numbers could change. The company expects to disclose the IPO financial documents in the coming weeks, with a potential listing in early September or October this year.
