YouWare's CEO Ming Chao has created an "AI Director": when the script is uploaded, it automatically generates the storyboard.

Dynamic Insight: Beating AI Newsflash, YouWare founder Ming Chaoping has launched a new product, this time targeting AI short dramas. The new tool is called "AI Drama Maker," where users can input a script and let AI automatically break it down into episodes, organize characters, scenes, props, create storyboards, and provide prompts. Even without a script, one can start from a single creative idea.

The characters, scenes, and props extracted by AI will be automatically saved in the asset library for later use in filming, storyboarding, and timeline creation. Besides short dramas, it can also produce webcomics and advertisements.

However, although it is named "AI Drama Maker," it is not yet capable of spitting out a fully finished piece in one go. In tests, it is already able to mass export storyboard videos, but functions like "project progress" are not yet available, and the points system and recharge option are temporarily inaccessible.

Major players have also joined the game. Alibaba is in the beta testing phase with ManClaw, and Tencent Video is testing WorkSolo. According to the China Internet Audiovisual Content Association, out of approximately 128,000 micro-short dramas launched in the first quarter of this year, over 95% are AI-generated micro-short dramas, indicating a rapid trend towards AI-powered short drama production.
