On the 19th, Reuters reported that Trump held a digital asset industry event at the White House, attended by executives from Coinbase, Robinhood, Kraken, and the Intercontinental Exchange. Trump called on Congress to pass a "fair version" of the CLARITY Act, positioning it as a cornerstone of the U.S. digital asset regulatory framework. Trump has already signed a stablecoin regulation bill, with the CLARITY Act set to be the second major digital asset legislation achievement during his tenure.

The Senate Banking Committee released a statement on the 20th, with Committee Chair Tim Scott stating that there is still room for advancing the bill in September. He emphasized the need for the U.S. to establish a unified digital asset regulatory framework to reduce policy uncertainty and enhance market stability.

A procedural vote is expected to take place in mid-September, requiring 60 votes for approval. If passed, the bill will enter the amendment debate and final vote stage, becoming a key milestone in the Senate's formal legislative process. In the subsequent legislative process, both chambers of Congress must approve an identical bill text before it can be submitted for the President's signature into law. Currently, stakeholders are still coordinating on regulatory jurisdiction, enforcement mechanisms, and market compliance requirements.
