Google is Giving College Students 1 Year of Gemini for Free: Pro in the US, Plus in Other Regions

Watch Out Beating AI Newsletter: Google is now offering university students a free one-year Google AI subscription.

Eligible U.S. students can get Google AI Pro, priced at $19.99 per month, including a Gemini 4x usage limit, 5TB of storage, and Gemini Spark.

Students in over 140 countries outside the U.S. will receive Google AI Plus, with Gemini limit at 2x the free version and 400GB of storage.

The free subscription requires student verification and linking a payment method, and the offer is available until December 31, 2026. If not canceled after the free period ends, it will automatically convert to a paid subscription.

U.S. students whose 2025 Pro trial has expired can also reapply this year.
