The White House Technology Leaders Meeting is being held today, where President Trump will meet with the SEC, CFTC Chairmen, and several cryptocurrency industry executives.

BlockBeats News, August 19th. Cryptocurrency journalist Eleanor Terrett reported that the White House Technology Leaders Meeting will begin at 2:30 AM Beijing time on August 20th. U.S. President Trump is expected to speak alongside SEC Chairman Paul Atkins and CFTC Chairman Selig.


Expected attendees from the cryptocurrency and traditional finance industry include Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong, Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse, Payward/Kraken Co-CEO Arjun Sethi, Gemini Co-founders Cameron Winklevoss and Tyler Winklevoss, Chainlink Co-founder Sergey Nazarov, a16z Partner Chris Dixon, Blockchain.com CEO Peter Smith, BitGo CEO Mike Belshe, and others.


In addition, industry organization leaders such as the Digital Chamber, Blockchain Association, Crypto Council for Innovation, as well as ICE (NYSE's parent company) CEO Jeff Sprecher, and Nasdaq CEO Adena Friedman are also expected to attend. White House Cryptocurrency Committee Executive Director Patrick Witt will also be present at the meeting.
