The Anthropic public model is just the tip of the iceberg: a more powerful Mythos 2 is holding back, and the next-generation Mythos 3 is also in progress

According to TrendForce's Beating report, SemiAnalysis founder Dylan Patel revealed in a recent podcast that he heard Anthropic's "Mythos 2" has completed training, but the company has not officially released it. Furthermore, Dylan speculated that Anthropic's internal research has not paused as a result, and they are still able to further train and enhance the next-generation "Mythos 3" based on Mythos 2.

Anthropic's own latest risk report also confirmed that the company indeed possesses stronger unreleased models. The report unveiled a model with the internal codename "Model 2," which has shown "significant improvements" across various internal tasks and currently has no external release plans. According to Axios, Model 2 appears to have surpassed Anthropic's current top-of-the-line Mythos model.

It is highly likely that the most powerful model seen by the public from Anthropic is now significantly behind its truly cutting-edge internal models.
