The US and Iran remain deadlocked, with the three major US stock indices closing lower, while Bitcoin sees a slight uptick

BlockBeats News, August 18th, due to the bleak prospects of US-Iran talks, international oil prices rose by about 3% on Monday. Trump stated that he has no intention to extend the expiring agreement with Iran. The technical expiration of the US-Iran Memorandum of Understanding signed in June this year was reached on Monday. Both parties still have differences on many issues, including the Strait of Hormuz. Other officials suggested that the US is not in a hurry to end this conflict, which has been going on for almost six months. According to BIT (bit.com) market data, US stocks closed on Monday with the Dow down 0.5%, the S&P 500 down 0.5%, and the Nasdaq down 0.32%. SK Hynix (SKHY.O) rose by 3%, Micron Technology (MU.O) rose by 4%, SanDisk (SNDK.O) rose by 8.8%, and Nike (NKE.N) fell by 4%.


According to HTX market data, Bitcoin is currently trading at $64,288, with a 24-hour gain of 2.13%.
