South Korean Chaebol Leader First-Half Salary Disclosure: Samsung Chairman Lee Jae-yong Yet to Receive Salary, SK Chairman Chey Tae-won Receives 1.75 Billion Korean Won

BlockBeats News, August 17th, regulatory filings show that Samsung Electronics Chairman Lee Jae-yong did not receive any compensation from Samsung Electronics in the first half of this year, continuing a practice that has been in place since 2017. SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won received 1.75 billion Korean won (approximately $1.66 million) from the group's holding company SK Inc.


Doosan Group Chairman Park Jeong-won had the highest compensation in the first half of the year, amounting to 45.58 billion Korean won (approximately $43.6 million); Hanhwa Group Chairman Kim Seung-youn received 11.58 billion Korean won (approximately $5.53 million) from the group's subsidiaries, Lotte Group Chairman Shin Dong-bin received 11.2 billion Korean won (approximately $5.35 million). LG Group Chairman Koo Kwang-mo received 4.83 billion Korean won (approximately $2.31 million). Hyundai Motor Group Executive Chairman Chung Euisun received 2.25 billion Korean won (approximately $1.07 million), 1.35 billion Korean won (approximately $0.65 million), and 900 million Korean won (approximately $0.43 million) from Hyundai Motor, Kia, and Hyundai Mobis, respectively.
