U.S. Stock Market's Three Major Indexes Close Up Together, SanDisk's "Bold Pledge" Boosts Stock Price by 13.6%, Crypto-Related Stocks See Broad Gains

BlockBeats News, August 14th, according to the market data from BIT (Bit.com), the three major U.S. stock indexes collectively closed up. The Dow Jones Index rose by 0.13% to 53,839.99 points; the S&P 500 Index rose by 0.65% to 7,798.99 points, setting a new record high. The Nasdaq Index rose by 0.81% to 26,803.03 points.


Cryptocurrency-related stocks saw a general rise, with BMNR up by 2.24%, GEMI up by 3.12%, Bullish up by 11.57%, Circle up by 5.75%, Strategy up by 2.39%, and Coinbase up by 3.26%.


The optical module sector saw mixed performances, with Coherent down by 7.99%, Lumentum down by 5.58%, and Applied Optoelectronics down by 5.79%.


The storage sector continued its rebound. SanDisk's CFO stated that the company expects to receive a total contract amount of $93.9 billion from eight customers during the contract period. The CFO also expects a non-GAAP gross margin of about 80% from fiscal year 2028 to fiscal year 2030 and plans to return all excess cash to shareholders. This statement led to a surge in SanDisk's stock price by 13.67%. In addition, Western Digital rose by 7.31%, Seagate Technology rose by 4.91%, and Micron Technology rose by 4.23%.
