Frontier AI Lab Pathway has completed a $30 million seed round funding, with a valuation of $500 million, focusing on the "Post-Transformer" architecture.

BlockBeats News, August 13th, Pathway, a cutting-edge AI research lab based in Palo Alto, California, announced the completion of its latest funding round, bringing its total seed funding to $30 million, with a post-money valuation of $5 billion. Investors include Id4 Ventures, TQ Ventures, Red Bridge Ventures, Kadmos Capital, and WS Investment Co., the investment arm of Wilson Sonsini. Angel investor Jonathan Frankle, Chief AI Scientist at Databricks, also participated in the round. Pathway is focused on the research and development of the "Post-Transformer" model architecture, which is emerging as a key area of exploration in the AI field.


The company stated that it will use the new funds to expand its high-performance computing capabilities, including acquiring the next-generation NVIDIA Blackwell/GB300 system, and to accelerate the development of specialized inference models for the financial services, technology, and healthcare industries.
