Citrine's View: Intel's product portfolio and pricing power are improving, with a decline in Q2 server CPU shipment share but an increase in revenue.

BlockBeats News, August 13th, Citrini analyst Jukan posted a message stating that in the second quarter of 2026, an interesting phenomenon occurred in the Intel server CPU market—while the shipment market share decreased, the revenue share increased. During that quarter, AMD's server CPU shipment market share increased by approximately 0.9 percentage points, Intel decreased by around 1.4 percentage points, and ARM also began to appear in the share chart; however, in terms of revenue share, Intel surprisingly increased by about 1.7 percentage points.

Jukan believes that although Intel sold fewer chips, its profitability increased, indicating that its product mix or pricing ability is improving—likely due to the increased proportion of high-end server chip sales with a high ASP (average selling price). In the long run, Intel's position in the server market has been continuously eroded by AMD, but the counter-trend increase in revenue share this quarter may suggest that its high-end product strategy is starting to take effect. Some voices in the community are becoming more bullish on Intel.
