S&P 500 settlement risk is concentrated around $7430, with upward settlement pressure potentially 1.6 times greater than downward pressure.

BlockBeats News, August 12th, according to TradingBeats (formerly Hyperinsight) monitoring, prior to the CPI announcement, a lateral comparison of SP500 and XYZ100 near-end liquidation positions revealed that the potential liquidation risk of the S&P 500 is more concentrated. The latest significant long risk in one area is located between 7420 and 7430 points.

The SP500 is currently trading at 7744.6 points, with the range of 7420 to 7430 points about 4.1% away from the current price, where 18 long addresses are clustered within the range's potential liquidation positions. Among them, a whale address starting with 0x7c93 holds approximately $25.041 million in SP500 long positions with 50x leverage, with a liquidation price of 7427.3 points, making it the most prominent single position in that area.

Based on a price range of ±5% from the current price, the total potential short liquidation volume above is approximately $74.334 million, while the long positions below total about $46.185 million, with the former being about 1.6 times the latter. If the CPI drives the index higher, the size of the squeezed short positions waiting above may be even larger.

In contrast, the XYZ100 has a potential short liquidation volume of about $11.96 million within 5% above the current price, indicating that the near-end liquidation pressure is significantly lower than that of the SP500.
