Musk: Starlink Long-Term May Carry Over 50% of Internet Traffic, Annual Revenue May Exceed $1 Trillion

BlockBeats News, August 9th - Silicon Valley investor and co-host of the "All-In Podcast" David Friedberg stated that Starlink's standalone business could have an annual revenue of around $40 billion, with a significant portion convertible to free cash flow. Within a year, free cash flow could reach $30 billion, and Starlink's valuation could hit $1 trillion within 18 months.

Musk responded saying that the potential of Starlink is "far beyond this." With the development of AI and robotics, the bandwidth demand is expected to significantly increase, with its data transmission needs orders of magnitude higher than that of humans. Even if the communication market size only doubles, he anticipates Starlink capturing at least a 25% market share outside of China, translating to annual revenue exceeding $500 billion. In the long term, the internet traffic carried by Starlink could surpass 50%, with annual revenue exceeding $1 trillion, and there are currently no apparent barriers to achieving this outcome.
