OpenAI's new flagship, Astra, is set to be released next week, becoming the largest pre-trained model post-GPT-4.5.

According to Dynamic Beating monitoring, whistleblower blogger leo claimed that OpenAI is set to release a new model, Astra, next week. According to him, Astra comes from a completely new pre-training round and is the largest model trained by OpenAI since GPT-4.5.

Astra's most recent version, codenamed "mewfour," has been designated as a release candidate for internal testing.

OpenAI has confirmed that Astra will be its next flagship model. The internal version has previously made progress on 10 long-standing unsolved mathematical and theoretical computer science problems.
