Federal Reserve's Williams: Fed Will Take Action If Inflation Does Not Return to 2% as Expected

BlockBeats News, August 3rd, Federal Reserve President Williams stated strong support for the FOMC's latest interest rate decision and reiterated commitment to bringing inflation back to the 2% target level. If inflation does not fall back to 2% as expected, the Fed will take action to achieve price stability.

Additionally, Williams also mentioned that the impact of the Middle East conflict on inflation is expected to gradually diminish, but he acknowledged that the situation still remains uncertain. He pointed out that market pricing provides valuable information to the Fed, but the Fed does not need to endorse the level of market pricing.

Furthermore, he believes that AI investments will not pose a financial stability risk, and he is not surprised by the volatility in the AI industry.
