Bithumb has announced an IPO plan, aiming to go public by 2028

BlockBeats News, August 3rd, according to an official announcement, South Korea's leading cryptocurrency exchange Bithumb has officially announced its IPO plan and disclosed a three-stage timeline: completing internal control optimization and preparing for K-IFRS (Korean International Financial Reporting Standards) conversion by 2026; submitting the listing pre-application in 2027; completing the formal listing by 2028.


To advance the IPO, Bithumb has initiated several reform measures, including the introduction of a system-level risk management system, promoting the spin-off of its subsidiary Bithumb Asset to optimize the governance structure, collaborating with domestic and foreign major brokerages and law firms, and expanding investor relations (IR) communication channels.


Bithumb stated that this IPO aims to enhance corporate transparency and investor protection levels through institutionalized financial standards, driving the overall credibility of the South Korean cryptocurrency industry.
