South Korean President Moon Jae-in's approval rating hits record low since taking office

BlockBeats News, August 3rd, According to Yonhap News Agency, a poll released on Monday showed that South Korean President Lee Jae-myung's approval rating has dropped to the lowest level since taking office in June last year, influenced by the stock market crash and other controversies.

The poll conducted by Realmeter and commissioned by the media outlet EKN showed that the positive evaluation of Lee Jae-myung by the public dropped by 0.4 percentage points to 45.9% compared to the previous week, marking the third consecutive week of decline. The negative evaluation of Lee Jae-myung by the public increased by 1 percentage point to 50.5%, surpassing the key 50% mark for the first time.

Another poll conducted by the same polling agency showed that the ruling Democratic Party of Korea had a support rate of 45.1%, up 3.8 percentage points from the previous week, while the main opposition People Power Party's support rate dropped by 2.9 percentage points to 37.7%.
