The continued decline in crude oil prices has forced a whale who went long 60 times to exit with regret, experiencing a net loss of $2.43 million from multiple historical liquidations.

BlockBeats News, August 3rd, according to Hyperinsight monitoring, a whale with address starting with 0xc278 has completed a total of 61 rounds of BRENTOIL trades since trading Brent crude oil on March 19. Out of these 61 rounds, 59 were long positions and only 2 were short positions, with long positions accounting for 96.7%. The total net loss from all 61 rounds of trades is approximately $2.431 million, with million-dollar-level heavy positions contributing 99.4% of the losses.

Yesterday morning, its Brent long position triggered system liquidation again. The entire liquidation closed out 47,600 BRENTOIL long positions, with a liquidation turnover of approximately $4.046 million, a weighted liquidation price of around $84.99, resulting in a total loss of about $275,000. After the liquidation, the address no longer holds any Brent positions.

Prior to the liquidation, BRENTOIL on Hyperliquid plummeted from a high of $91.68 to a low of $82.81 on Sunday, representing a maximum drop of 9.7%; the final backup liquidation price was about 7.6% lower than the peak. This decline was primarily due to Trump's statement of suspending a new strike on Iran and mentioning that a Middle East ceasefire agreement was close to being reached.

In early April, the whale experienced losses of approximately $882,000, $513,000, and $460,000 in three consecutive long positions, but thereafter continued to mostly hold long positions in crude oil, frequently recording the largest single liquidation on the entire network.
