Iran Claims to Have Closed the Strait of Hormuz, U.S. Central Command Denies

BlockBeats News, August 1st. On July 31st local time, the US Central Command stated, "The Iranian government has once again claimed to have closed the Strait of Hormuz, which is false information." The US Central Command stated, "The Strait of Hormuz remains open for commercial shipping. Iran does not control the strait"; over the past four months, "thousands of ships have passed through this international waterway."
