AI Paper Writing Can No Longer Be Fabricated, Google Provides Evidence for Each Conclusion

According to Dongcha Beating monitoring, Google has launched Science One, a system that allows AI to automatically conduct research and retain full evidence. It can search for papers, design experiments, run experiments, and write papers.

Current AI research systems often fabricate citations, and the methods described in papers may not match the actual code. Science One binds each conclusion to its source, code, and experiment records. If the evidence doesn't match, the sentence will be revised or deleted.

Google had 5 systems use the same Gemini 3.1 Pro, collectively producing 75 papers across 5 tasks. The 337 citations generated by Science One were all genuine, all 12 reproducible experiment results matched, and out of 15 papers, 14 were consistent with the actual code. The fictitious citation rate of other systems reached as high as 20.9%.
