ByteDance's AI Revenue Surges to $4 Billion Annually, Ranking First Among Chinese AI Companies

According to DeepTech Beat monitoring, citing sources familiar with the matter, ByteDance's AI model business has reached an annualized recurring revenue of $4 billion, making it the top AI company in China based on publicly available data.

For comparison, Alibaba is currently around $1.5 billion, SenseTime around $1 billion, DeepSeek close to $500 million, and DarkSide of the Moon around $300 million. ByteDance has significantly widened the revenue gap with its domestic peers.

However, ARR is calculated based on the current revenue run rate for the next year and does not mean that $4 billion has already been earned. ByteDance's AI revenue also remains far below that of OpenAI and Anthropic.
