Aave to Phase Out Low Utilization Assets and Certain On-chain Deployments, Involving Nearly $100 Million in Total Supply Assets

BlockBeats News, July 30th, according to Aave founder Stani Kulechov, after completing a thorough review, Aave will gradually phase out 50 low-usage asset reserves in multiple deployment environments and gracefully halt deployments on Sonic, Scroll, zkSync, Metis, Soneium, and Aptos, involving an additional 25 asset reserves.

Additionally, 21 expired Pendle PT assets will also be phased out and replaced by new maturing assets. This adjustment involves approximately $98.1 million in supply assets and $15.6 million in debt. Stani stated that this action is aimed at reducing the protocol's economic and technical risks based on the new Aave Risk Framework and Technical Asset Listing Framework. Aave will continue to assess the risk of assets in various deployment environments.
