Anthropic Core Team Member YinYang Huang Renxun Advocates for AI Model Open Source: CUDA and GPU Drivers Should Also Be Open Source

BlockBeats News, July 26th - Anthropic's core technical member Julian Schrittwieser recently posted on X platform, mocking Jensen Huang's support for open-weight AI models, stating, "Looking forward to CUDA and GPU drivers being open-sourced."

Earlier, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang posted his first personal tweet on Friday night, sharing an open letter co-signed by NVIDIA titled "Open Weight and U.S. AI Leadership." The co-signers include Meta, Microsoft, Andreessen Horowitz, Hugging Face, IBM, Mistral AI, Palantir, Perplexity, Mozilla, NVIDIA, Y Combinator, and more than 20 other tech companies and organizations. The open letter stated that the U.S. needs both top proprietary models and top open-source models, and the government should not prematurely restrict open-source AI.

Anthropic did not co-sign the open letter.
