SK Hynix's Q2 Profit May Hit Record High, South Korea's Memory Giants Expected to Exceed KRW 150 Trillion Combined

Following Samsung Electronics, it is expected that SK Hynix's second-quarter profit this year will also hit a new high. According to a summary of reports from 14 securities firms by the South Korean financial information agency Yonhap Infomax over the past month, SK Hynix's second-quarter revenue and operating profit are expected to be 84.0597 trillion Korean won and 64.0899 trillion Korean won, respectively. The expected operating profit for the second quarter is about 17 trillion Korean won higher than last year's full-year operating profit of 47.2 trillion Korean won.

In addition to the first-quarter operating profit of 37.6103 trillion Korean won earlier this year, SK Hynix's operating profit for just the first half of the year will exceed 100 trillion Korean won. Earlier this month, Samsung Electronics also released a preliminary earnings report, with its DS division performing strongly, achieving an operating profit of 89.4 trillion Korean won.
