Fang Xinghai was appointed as Vice Chairman and member of the Party Committee of the China Securities Regulatory Commission in October 2015. On July 30, 2024, the State Council decided to remove him from the position of Vice Chairman, and the Central Organization Department simultaneously removed him from the position of member of the Party Committee (succeeded by Li Ming).
