Korean Official: During Lee In-myeong's Visit to the U.S., Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix Will Sign a Major Agreement

BlockBeats News, July 24th – Kim Yong-beom, Chief of the Presidential Policy Office in South Korea, stated that during South Korean President Lee Jae-myung's visit to Silicon Valley, Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix will sign a significant agreement with major U.S. tech companies involving "substantial" funding. These agreements may include a new long-term memory chip supply agreement, strategic partnership investment relations, and memorandums of understanding. He did not specify the amount.

Kim indicated that President Lee Jae-myung's visit has acted as a "catalyst," helping to conclude long-standing negotiations between South Korean and American companies.

Lee Jae-myung departed for the U.S. on Friday, where he will participate in an artificial intelligence summit and hold meetings with NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang, OpenAI founder Sam Altman, Anthropic co-founder Dario Amodei, and Broadcom CEO Tan Hock Eng.
