Anthropic is set to inject another $20 million, as the AI regulation battle heats up towards the US midterm elections.

According to Dynasty Beating monitoring, Anthropic has once again donated $20 million to the bipartisan AI policy organization Public First Action, bringing the total investment to $40 million. This organization advocates for increased AI transparency and strengthened security regulations.

Anthropic stated that as AI capabilities rapidly advance, related risks are also increasing. The donation can only be used for policy advocacy and cannot be used to support or oppose specific candidates.

On the other hand, the super PAC Leading the Future, which advocates for accelerating AI development and loosening regulations, is also holding a substantial amount of funds. As the U.S. midterm elections approach, AI regulation has become a high-stakes political lobbying battle.
