Ant International has announced that it has completed a Series A funding round of approximately $1.2 billion, with participation from Ant Group, Alibaba, and others.

BlockBeats News, July 21st, Ant International announced that it has completed its Series A financing. Ant Group, along with some existing shareholders including Alibaba and several internationally renowned investment institutions, participated in this round of financing. The total amount is approximately $1.2 billion, which will be used to expand global business, accelerate investment in cutting-edge technologies such as AI, broaden inclusive financial technology services such as cross-border payments and global accounts, and help global merchants achieve growth.


On March 19, 2024, Jing Xiandong issued a company-wide letter announcing that under Ant Group, Ant International, OceanBase, and Ant Financial Technology have established separate boards of directors and will operate independently in the market. Currently, Jing Xiandong serves as the Chairman of Ant International, Yang Peng as the CEO, and Douglas Feagin as the President. Ant International's business covers major markets in Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and Latin America, connecting over 150 million global merchants and more than 2 billion consumer accounts. It has innovation, settlement, and operation centers in Shanghai, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Malaysia.


Currently, Ant International has four major business segments: Alipay+, Antom, WorldFirst, and Bettr. They focus on enhancing global payment interoperability, developing AI-driven merchant payment solutions, financial asset management, and fintech solutions, and have established a broad cooperation network with financial institutions, technology companies, and merchants inside and outside China.
