South Korea's ruling party demands enhanced regulation of single-stock leveraged ETFs, with further measures to be taken if necessary

BlockBeats News, July 21st. According to South Korea's Seoul Economic Daily, on the 20th, the ruling Democratic Party of Korea urged the Financial Services Commission (FSC) to closely monitor single-stock leveraged ETFs and to implement additional measures if necessary. On that day, lawmakers from the ruling Democratic Party of Korea held a party-government meeting with the Financial Services Commission at the National Assembly on Yoido Island in Seoul, where they received a work report from FSC Chairman Lee Eok-won and other officials.

The ruling party's secretary and Democratic Party lawmaker, Park Sang-hyuk, said to reporters after the meeting: "The Financial Services Commission reported on the measures announced last Thursday. Lawmakers generally requested that regulatory agencies further strengthen market monitoring and situational analysis, and if necessary, should consider introducing more supplementary measures."
