US-Iran Conflict Shows Restraint and Rationality, Israeli Deep Involvement in Three Scenarios

BlockBeats News, July 20th, the US-Iran conflict has escalated again and has been ongoing for several days, but both sides are currently showing restraint and rationality. The US action mainly focuses on targets related to the Strait of Hormuz, while also conducting limited attacks on "soft" national infrastructure such as bridges and railways. Iran has responded by targeting US interests in the region, including targets in Jordan and Saudi Arabia, but has not directly attacked Israel. Both sides are currently maintaining unspoken boundaries: the US is avoiding striking Iran's major national infrastructure, and Iran has not expanded its actions to Israeli territory.

Analysts believe that there is no clear answer as to when the current conflict will end. However, the factors that may lead to Israeli involvement in the future mainly include three types:

First, the US expanding the scope of its strikes. If the US military were to attack Iran's nuclear facilities or ballistic missile programs, including important targets not previously involved in the conflict such as "Pickaxe Mountain," it could prompt Iran to escalate its retaliation.

Second, both sides may escalate the conflict due to miscalculation. Israel or Iran may try to gain an advantage through sudden actions, leading to a broader confrontation.

Third, Israel may proactively seize a military opportunity to strike Iran's nuclear facilities and missile capabilities to achieve the military objectives not realized in Operation Roaring Lion.

Analysts point out that Iran currently has no intention of actively involving Israel in the conflict, as it is well aware of the Israeli Defense Forces' military capabilities. It is widely believed that the confrontation between Iran, the US, and regional countries will continue, as this is just another stage in a long-term game of chess.
