US Semiconductor, Storage, and Optics Communication Stocks Extend Pre-market Decline, with SanDisk and Applied Materials Both Dropping Over 6%

BlockBeats News, July 17th, according to BIT (bit.com) market data, U.S. semiconductor stocks fell across the board in pre-market trading. Applied Materials dropped by 6.10%, Intel fell by 4.52%, AMD dropped by 4.42%, Micron Technology fell by 4.24%, NVIDIA dropped by 2.95%, among others.


The storage sector led the declines, with SanDisk falling by 6.10%, Western Digital by 5.75%, Seagate Technology by 5.63%, Micron Technology by 4.24%, and SK Hynix by 3.49%.


Optical communication stocks collectively declined, with Coherent falling by 6.26%, Applied Optoelectronics by 6.00%, Credo by 5.76%, Corning by 5.51%, Ciena by 5.17%, and Astera Labs by 5.08%.
