BlockBeats News, July 17th, according to CNBC, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella criticized the usage restrictions imposed by Anthropic on the Fable model during an internal meeting with Copilot engineers, calling the way they denied some requests "overly editorialized" and stating that this approach lacked reasonableness.
Anthropic's support page indicates that when users inquire about certain large model development-related content, the platform may respond with older version models. Anthropic had previously stated that the new security measures implemented after the restoration of Fable 5 online may misinterpret more harmless requests as content requiring interception.
Microsoft had previously announced a $5 billion investment in Anthropic, with Anthropic committing to spending $30 billion on Azure. Some of Microsoft's Copilot products also use Anthropic models, so Nadella's comments involve its key partners and customers.
Nadella also mentioned that enterprises should be able to develop custom models at a lower cost and control internal data, rather than having a few companies monopolize AI Token resources. He stated: "It doesn't make economic sense for only two global companies to own Token capital, while everyone else can only rent it."
