According to Dynam.AI Insights, 1Password has partnered with Anthropic to launch 1Password for Claude. When Claude browses the web to book tickets, check orders, or manage accounts, they can access their saved login information. Passwords and one-time codes are not exposed to the model's context, memory, or the Anthropic system.
After Claude initiates a login, 1Password will display the account to be used. The user must approve it through methods like Touch ID before the credentials are filled directly into the webpage, with authorization limited to the current task. When the Agent takes over the browser, 1Password will also automatically lock other unauthorized items.
This feature has been launched on Mac, covering 1Password's personal, family, and business plans. Users need to install both desktop apps and browser extensions from both parties. Initially, only usernames, passwords, and one-time codes are supported, while security keys, payment cards, and identity information are not yet supported.
