The BONK Treasury Attacker Moves Approximately $4.11 Million in Tokens to Binance

BlockBeats News, July 17th, according to EmberCN monitoring, the address that previously emptied the BONK treasury through a governance attack transferred another 1.186 trillion BONK (approximately $4.11 million) to Binance 3 hours ago.

The address spent around $4.4 million to purchase enough BONK tokens 10 days ago to reach the governance voting threshold. It then initiated a governance proposal and forcefully passed it, transferring 4.426 trillion BONK from the BONK treasury, worth approximately $21.2 million. On the day of the incident, it had already transferred 40 billion BONK (about $190,000) to OKX, keeping the remaining tokens on-chain. As of now, about 3.2 trillion BONK, approximately $10.98 million, is still withdrawn from the treasury. Due to this event, the price of BONK has cumulatively dropped by 28% since the incident.
