The first Fed official to call for a rate hike since Wash took office, Logan supports raising interest rates to tackle high inflation

BlockBeats News, July 17th. The first Fed official to call for a rate hike since Powell took office has emerged. Earlier today, Fed's Logan suggested that the Fed should raise interest rates to address the persistently high inflation issue, hinting that she may be ready to oppose the decision to keep rates unchanged later this month.

Logan stated that the June inflation data released on Tuesday showed a slowing trend in price increases, but it was not enough to convince her that inflation had returned to the Fed's 2% target path.
