The U.S. Has Been Exposed to War Spending in Iraq Could Be as High as $1 trillion

BlockBeats News, July 16th. According to US sources on July 15th, an internal assessment within the US Department of Defense revealed that the actual cost of US military action against Iran could be as high as $1 trillion, far exceeding the previously announced approximately $300 billion. It is reported that the significant discrepancy between the two figures is mainly due to the official estimates not accounting for undisclosed operational expenses, losses of advanced aircraft, and the substantial cost of the severe damage to US military facilities in the Middle East.

US Senator Angus King stated that the American public is very disappointed in not being able to know the actual cost of the war, "not to mention the additional costs the conflict has brought to the public in terms of gasoline prices" (CCTV News).
