According to TrendForce's Beating Monitor, Jeffrey Kessler, the Deputy Secretary of Commerce responsible for export control, has confirmed that a small quantity of Nvidia's H200 has been licensed and has arrived in China. Following the approval in December last year, actual shipments have already begun.
Kessler did not disclose the quantity or the buyer, only stating that the shipment scale is "negligible." Each license requires verification of the buyer, the end-use, and the chip's performance, with strict prohibitions on diversion to military, nuclear, missile, and biochemical weapons-related projects.
Although the U.S. has opened the export channel for H200 to China, current deliveries are still at a symbolic level. Large-scale sales are still far away.
