Wash: I Wouldn't Do Anything Improper Even If Trump Asked Me to

BlockBeats News, July 15th. During the "Federal Reserve Semiannual Monetary Policy Report" hearing, when asked if he had spoken to Trump, Fed Chair Powell said "no comment" and expressed his reluctance to share the details of their conversation.

Powell stated that President Trump had not tried to influence Fed policy execution. If Trump attempted to sway policy, Powell said he would remain indifferent and focus on his work. "If I receive a call from Trump or the Banking Committee Chair, I would not feel uncomfortable. The President has never asked me to do anything improper, and even if he did, I would not do it."
