The United States Conducts 5-Hour Consecutive Airstrikes Against Iran in Response to Iran's Bombing of a Jordanian US Military Base

BlockBeats News, July 14th, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran announced that it had launched ballistic missiles at a US Air Force base in Jordan and called on the Jordanian people to resist the US military presence. Jordan stated that its air defense system successfully intercepted 4 Iranian missiles that entered its airspace, and the incident did not cause any casualties or property damage.

In response, the US Central Command, authorized by President Trump, carried out around 5 hours of continuous airstrikes on targets inside Iran. This is the third consecutive night of large-scale US strikes against Iran. According to Iranian media reports, multiple targets, including the port of Abadan, were hit, and some naval maintenance facilities were damaged.

Meanwhile, the situation in the Strait of Hormuz remains tense. Trump recently stated that the US would be responsible for ensuring the security of the Strait of Hormuz and planned to impose a 20% fee on goods passing through, sparking widespread international controversy. In response to the escalating Middle East situation, international oil prices surged by nearly 3%, with concerns in the market about the further exacerbation of global energy supply tensions due to increased shipping risks in the strait.
