US Media: Trump's So-Called 'Preparedness Retaliation Order' Cannot Automatically Take Effect After His Death

Under the 25th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution and the Presidential Succession Act, if the president dies, Vice President JD Vance would immediately assume the presidency and command of the armed forces, with military command authority transitioning simultaneously.
