US-Iran Strait of Hormuz Standoff Nears Dangerous Tipping Point, Military Conflict Escalates

BlockBeats News, July 13th, U.S. officials stated that the U.S. military conducted multiple strikes about an hour ago on missile and air defense systems near the Strait of Hormuz and small Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps boats. An official from Iran's Geshm Island confirmed that on Sunday afternoon local time, the enemy launched 10 to 11 missiles at Geshm Island, with all targets being military facilities. The attack did not result in any casualties.


Earlier, the Iranian side stated that Iran had attacked a U.S. missile launch base in Kuwait. The ATACMS missile system facility at the U.S. military base in Kuwait was targeted in the attack, with thick smoke rising from the scene.


Meanwhile, according to the Lebanese National News Agency (NNA), Israeli artillery conducted further shelling in southern Lebanon. Two Israeli shells hit the town of Kafr Tibnit in the Nabatieh area of southern Lebanon. The statement also added that this attack originated from Israeli military positions in the occupied border area. Furthermore, Israel also shelled the town of Zawtar al-Sharkiya near Mays al-Jabal.
