BlockBeats News, July 12th. The US military has announced that it has completed the third round of military strikes against Iran this week. The US military deployed land-based and carrier-based fighter jets, drones, and naval vessels in this operation, using precision munitions to strike approximately 140 Iranian military targets.
The targets of the strikes included Iranian missile and drone bases, naval capabilities facilities, ammunition storage sites, communication networks, and coastal surveillance points. The Central Command stated that this week, in accordance with directives, they have now struck over 300 targets cumulatively.
The Central Command emphasized in particular that commercial vessels continue to navigate through the Strait of Hormuz, an international maritime corridor, implying that despite the ongoing escalation of military conflict, this critical energy transit route has not been completely disrupted.
This comes after earlier this week when strikes were carried out against approximately 90 coastal targets and 170 military targets in Iran, marking the third large-scale military operation against Iran by the US military this week. It demonstrates that the US-Iran military confrontation is rapidly escalating and has expanded from initial conflicts around the strait to a broader range of Iranian military facilities.
