A miner using a 1 TH/s hash power mining rig solo mined a block reward of 3.1382 BTC, with a probability of approximately once every 16,000 years

BlockBeats News, July 12th, a miner successfully mined Bitcoin block 957,382 yesterday using a Bitaxe ASIC miner with a single chip and a hashrate of about 1 TH/s. The miner received the full block reward of 3.1382 BTC, worth approximately $200,000.

The miner did not overclock the device and mined through the feeless Public Pool mining pool, retaining 100% of the block subsidy and transaction fees. The effective share difficulty of the miner was 294.14T, more than twice the required 133.87T for block solving.

With an estimated hashrate of 1 TH/s, it would take an average of about 16,000 years to mine a block. This event is extremely rare, but the daily probability of winning is still about 53 times higher than buying a lottery ticket.
