The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran has announced the closure of the Strait of Hormuz

BlockBeats News, July 12th, according to Xinhua News Agency, the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy announced early on the 12th that the Strait of Hormuz is closed with immediate effect, and no vessel is allowed to pass through.

Iran had previously announced that any foreign intervention in the affairs of the Strait of Hormuz and illegal delineation of vessel routes would be met with a "decisive response" from Iran. Due to the unsafe situation caused by foreign interference, the Strait of Hormuz is closed with immediate effect until further notice and until the United States ceases its interference in the region.

Iran has warned that if the U.S. uses this incident as a pretext to launch new attacks against Iran, Iran will respond vigorously and strike more of America's bases in the Middle East. (Xinhua News Agency)
