BlockBeats News, July 10th - Led by the GenLayer Foundation, Internet Court was jointly established by 27 crypto and Web3 institutions including OKX, MetaMask, and Matter Labs, aiming to provide a unified dispute resolution mechanism for payments, custody, and contract disputes between AI Agents.
With AI Agents capable of autonomous negotiation, transactions, and payments, contract disputes between Agents have become a new issue. The traditional judicial system struggles to handle such machine-to-machine transactions. Internet Court hopes to build an open, interoperable arbitration protocol to standardize AI payments, custody, and dispute resolution.
GenLayer Foundation Co-founder and CEO David Riudor stated that as Agents complete transactions at machine speed, a dispute resolution mechanism with machine speed is also needed. Internet Court will be the arbitration platform that AI Agents collectively rely on when disputes arise from transactions.
According to reports, the protocol will also integrate infrastructure such as the Coinbase x402 payment protocol, ERC-8004 Agent identity standard, and Google A2A Agent interoperability protocol. It will adopt components like the MetaMask Smart Accounts Kit, ERC-7710 delegation mechanism, and x402 Facilitator to enhance interoperability between different AI Agent business systems.
