According to Motion Beating Monitoring, Kimi Code has launched an "Add-on Allowance" feature, where subscribed users can purchase additional usage on demand. Once users activate this feature, if their original allowance is depleted, the system will automatically deduct from the Add-on Allowance balance. In case of occasional overages, there is no need to upgrade to a higher-tier plan directly.
The Add-on Allowance can be purchased on the Kimi subscription page. When weekly or hourly usage exceeds 80%, a purchase option will also be displayed on the Kimi Code console. Users can also set a monthly spending limit to control additional expenses.
The remaining allowance can be viewed on the Kimi website or app, as well as the Kimi Code console. CLI users can simply input /usage to check their usage. The Add-on Allowance is more suitable for users who occasionally exceed their limits, while heavy users will need to compare the cost-effectiveness of purchasing add-ons versus upgrading their plan.
