Cursor tests the universal AI assistant Sand, directly benchmarking against Claude Cowork

According to Dynamic Watch Beating Monitor, Cursor is expanding from AI programming to everyday office work. The Information, citing two informed sources, reported that Cursor is internally testing Sand. It is targeting non-developers and can reply to emails and messages, organize spreadsheets, and even handle engineering tasks.

Sand has been made available for employee testing, but a formal release has not been confirmed yet.
